NUCLEAR CHICKEN SAX AND FRIENDS
Founded in 2018, Nuclear Chicken Sax is an Oregon City–based saxophone ensemble directed by Jonah Buck. The group’s evolving instrumentation has supported collaborations with numerous regional musicians under the “& Friends” umbrella. Nuclear Chicken Sax performs original and curated repertoire, including annual Christmas concerts, and continues to develop new projects with rotating core members and guest instrumentalists.

Recruiting Saxophonists in the Portland, OR Metro Area!
Hey friends! We need any and all saxes who play at an advanced level who want to have fun! Rehearsals begin the week of 6/22!
One of our major shows will be a difficult set of music resulting in a fun, high-intensity saxophone ensemble concert with extremely diverse repertoire. It will feature modern and older music brought to new life with unique arrangements. I would like to recruit as many saxes as possible (soprano, alto, tenor, bari) to help make this happen!
Besides, generally, suggesting anyone being interested in the ensemble be at least a high school graduate (~18+), I am open to talking with you if you'd like to be involved.
